In 2021, Altan Bottier introduced its Couture Collection of luxury leather jackets and blousons, bringing more than fifty years of expertise in leather craftsmanship and transformation to a world of limitless creativity.
The Couture Collection extends Altan Bottier’s heritage of leather craftsmanship into a more contemporary wardrobe. Made in Paris and tailored to order, these luxury leather jackets and blousons bring together precision, creativity, and exceptional skins, from plongé lambskin to alligator and ostrich. Conceived as true couture leather pieces, they embody a rare balance of personalization, artisanal rigor, and modern elegance.
Drawing on its savoir-faire and creative vision in the world of fine shoemaking, Altan Bottier has carried over to its Couture Collection the core values that built the house’s reputation: personalization, creativity, and exacting standards.
The hides are carefully sourced from some of Paris’s most prestigious suppliers to ensure an exceptional result in every respect. In addition to plongé lambskin, clients may also choose from some of the most remarkable exotic leathers, including alligator and ostrich.
Made in Paris, the Couture Collection is a natural extension of the house’s shoemaking heritage, reinterpreted through the world of made-to-order leather jackets and blousons.

The choice of skins: an essential step
With the help of the pattern, each section of the skin is selected with the utmost care. Here, the alligator scales must be as even and harmonious as possible.
The different sections are cut by hand with a trimming knife, just as they are for our shoes.
One of the defining steps behind the unique character of Altan Bottier jackets and blousons is color work. Just as with our shoes, it is carried out according to each client’s wishes.
