This Derby shoe has been made with a single piece of leather, therefore it is what we call a Wholecut. More common to see this kind of style with Oxford, doing it on a Derby gives it the same fluidity as its oxford’s cousin. The idea here is to simplify as much as possible in order to highlight the model’s lines.
