Bespoke Shoes in Paris
At Altan Bottier, bespoke shoemaking is a tradition passed down through generations in our Paris workshop. Each pair is created from the ground up to reflect your foot, your style and your expectations. From the first measurements to the final patina, bespoke is a personal journey shaped by dialogue between you and our artisans.
A Bespoke Shoe Begins with a Blank Page
A bespoke shoe begins with a blank page. Every detail is defined with you: the shape of the last, the design of the shoe, the choice of leather and the finishing patina. More than a made-to-order service, bespoke allows you to create a truly unique pair designed around your personality, your preferences and your needs.
Measurements and Last Making
The process begins with a precise study of your feet. We take your footprint and a full set of measurements to understand their shape, proportions and specificities. Based on these measurements, our artisans create a wooden last made exclusively for you, ensuring exceptional fit, balance and comfort.
From Fitting to Final Craftsmanship
Once your last is completed, a first model is developed and tested. After the fitting, any necessary adjustments are made before final production begins. Your shoes are then entirely handmade in our Paris workshop, with the greatest attention paid to construction, finishing and patina.
Time, Materials and Personalisation
Each bespoke pair requires more than 80 hours of handwork and approximately 4 to 6 months of production. Alongside your shoes, we also provide matching shoetrees made for your dedicated last.
The Altan Bottier bespoke service includes:
a last made exclusively for your feet
fully handmade construction in our Paris workshop
a wide selection of fine leathers, from classic box calf to exceptional skins
complete customisation of design, proportions and finishing
the possibility of a hand-applied patina created specifically for your pair
